Memorial Baptist Church History

Memorial Baptist Church had it's start on a muddy Temple street in the summer of 1890 with a handful of individuals with a dream for a church.

Dr. John Hill Luther

Dr. John Hill Luther, retired President of the University of Mary Hardin Baylor and father of the first Southern Baptist Missionary to Brazil, envisioned a church that would be a mission centered, evangelistic, loving fellowship with its arms held open wide to Temple and Bell County. That dream and vision has become a reality.
